Joint Annual Conference Opportunity to Network, Share Best Practices - Award for Best Brochure Shared at Meeting

One of the benefits of participating in the NCSBCS/AMCBO Annual Conference is having the opportunity to network with your colleagues in the building regulatory, construction and information technology industries. The agenda for this year's meeting includes several BEST PRACTICES sessions for Homeland Security, Disaster Recovery, Information Technology in the Building Regulatory Processes.

In addition, the leadership of both NCSBCS and AMCBO invite those of you who work in state or local government building departments to bring and place on our BEST PRACTICES EXHIBIT TABLE sample brochures that you are using to communicate with either the public or the construction community. Examples of brochures that you might bring in to share include:

General Public Information - Why and When Do I Need a Building Permit?

Code Enforcement and Disaster Recovery

Homeland Security and your Building Department

Applying for your Building Permit Online

Submitting your Plans Online

Brochures for construction trades/consumers in languages other than English

The Awards Committee will be reviewing all of the brochures that are brought in and displayed on the Best Practices Exhibit Table and will select a "Best of the Annual Conference" brochure. The jurisdiction providing the selected Best Brochure will receive a NCSBCS shirt and receive a complimentary registration to next year's annual conference.
