Uniform Permit Application Form used by jurisdictions in the Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley Uniform Code Program
Reduction in Local amendments – Local amendments reduced from 400 to 11 in the 1995 California Code adoption, and further reduced to 1 in the 1998 California Code adoption

One-stop Permit Centers –Applicants obtain permits at one location instead of driving/traveling from one office to another
Obtain Simple permits at home –by fax or online

Inspection request 24 hour a day and 7 days a week utilizing automated inspection request system

GIS information can be accessed via a web browser over the internet

Plans can be submitted via e-mail, CD, or a designated FTP site
Red-lined sent to applicants/architects either via e-mail or FTP site
