AMCBO was founded in 1972 by the Building Commissioners of twenty of the nations largest cities to serve as a national forum in which major cities could come together to identify common problems and seek common solutions.

Member Benefits

Access to a national forum for building officials of large cities and counties to discuss mutual interests and seek solutions to common problems in the administration of major building developments.

An association newsletter,  teleconferences, an annual meeting, surveys, and website -- mechanisms for sharing information about administrative techniques, methods, and procedures that improve the level of building code administration and enforcement.

An active, nationally-recognized association with a voice on the issues that face large urban jurisdictions in the 21st century.

Membership Fees

Fees are $300 per jurisdiction.  Each member jurisdiction may name a delegate and alternate.
