FaxZero: An Online-Only, Send-Only Option

If you need to send a fax right now and you have web access, FaxZero could be exactly what you need. No setup, no credit card, no complicated process.

FaxZero.com is owned and operated by Savetz Publishing, Inc. Savetz is located in Portland, Oregon, and is a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating.

FaxZero is about as simple as it gets. There are two options: Free Fax and Almost Free Fax. Both options are utilized from the same web page. Both options allow you to send a fax to anyone in the U.S. or Canada. You can send an international fax, but you will have to pay more for that option. There is a link at the top of the FaxZero web page for sending international faxes.

The Free Fax option allows you to send a maximum of 3 pages, and two faxes per day. The coverpage will have the FaxZero banner across the top.

The Almost Free Fax option costs $1.99 per fax, allows you to send up to 15 pages. The Almost Free Fax’s cover page contains no advertising. You also have the choice of no cover page at all. FaxZero uses PayPal for payment. No credit card option exists.

Using FaxZero

To use FaxZero, you simply fill in the required fields (marked with an asterisk * ). Your name and your email address, as well as your recipient’s name and fax number are required. You can attach files or type your message in the provided text box on the web page. FaxZero supports Microsoft Word .doc and .docx, as well as PDF files. Attached files can be up to 10MB in size.

After filling in the required info and attaching your files or typing your text, provide the displayed confirmation code to verify you are a human being and your fax is on its way. FaxZero will make five attempts to deliver your fax, and you will get a confirmation email telling you whether the fax was sent successfully or not. If you don’t get your confirmation email, check your spam or junk mail folder.

FaxZero is a basic, no frills method for getting a document from your computer or smartphone faxed to any fax number nearly anywhere. If you have access to the web, you can send a fax with FaxZero.

Not Quite Perfect

FaxZero is expensive without ads on your faxes. At $1.99 per fax for a maximum of 15 pages, that’s 13.3 cents / page. This can add up fast if you have many faxes to send out each month. Bulk online fax services provide fax storage, fax receiving and sending at less than 1 cent / page (depending on the provider, nextivafax being the cheapest).
